Not much to say about this little guy except the minute detail that I had to add to it in order for the distinctive pattern to emerge from the work. Normally, such patterns on a tattoo can be done when creating the stencil, however, the minute detail needed requires an active hand during the inking process. I know I harp on the fact that preparation is the key to successful chair time, but in this case, all of the skill has to be done when the client is in the chair. I will say that to be able to do such detail, you have to be used to doing a lot of stencils to train your eye and hand for the process. It’s a cute little snake and the challenge lies in the minute detail of the design.
